What is the 'Adopt-a-Street' scheme?
Through the 'Adopt-a-Street' scheme you can make a difference and join with the Council to help ensure that the streets in your neighbourhood always look their best. By joining this scheme you will be volunteering to carry out litter picking as and when you consider it necessary to keep your 'adopted' area clear of litter. You choose the area you want to 'adopt' and the Council will provide the appropriate equipment, such as litter pickers, plastic bags, and gloves to help you remove litter between the scheduled street cleanses. Volunteering will not reduce the scheduled cleansing already undertaken by the Council but will instead assist to keep areas tidy.
How to join the 'Adopt-a-Street' scheme?
Please return the application form to firstname.lastname@example.org or via post to the Street Scene Manager, Environmental Services, Broxbourne Borough Council, Unit 4 Broxbourne Business Centre, Fairways, New River Trading Estate, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, EN8 0NP.
