Safe play during the Covid-19 outbreak

CHESHUNT PARK GOLF CENTRE - PLAYING DURING THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK

Re-opening Following the Government’s announcement on 10 May it has been confirmed that golf can now be played providing there are COVID-19 secure safe working systems in place for players and staff at the centre.  

Tee-time bookings Tee bookings should be made in advance, either online or by calling the centre between the revised opening hours (6.30am-8pm every day). Only one tee time may be booked per day, per player.

Parking Please park considerately to others.  Please also leave promptly after your round of golf.

Arrival Please do not arrive at the Cheshunt Park Golf Centre more than 15 minutes before your scheduled start time.

Social distancing You can now play outdoor sports such as golf but you must still observe the Government’s 2 metre social distancing rules at all times when playing with people who are not members of your household.  Please do not gather with other players and leave straight after your round of golf.

Staffing Staff will be on hand during the day to assist the smooth running of the golf course.  In order to restrict contact points and bottle necks, please do not stop to chat with staff. 

Players' check – in Players need to register at the check-in area at the main reception desk. Under no circumstances can players go out onto the course without checking in. No more than two customers are permitted in the building at any one time and must maintain a social distance of at least 2metres. Please queue outside the building and wait until you are called in by a member of staff.

Tee-time intervals Tee-times have been amended to ensure a gap of 10 minutes between players to reduce the risk of bottle necks.

Equipment Players should not share equipment.

Buggies Players can hire a buggy for single use only i.e. one person per buggy unless players are from the same household.  Buggies will be cleaned before and after your round.  These can be booked in advance by calling the centre reception on 019922 624009.  They can be paid for by contactless card payment on arrival at the main reception.

Changing rooms These will remain closed until further notice.

Flags Flags will remain in. Hole cups will be turned upside down.  Please do not touch or remove the flags.

Bunkers The bunker rakes will be removed.  Please do your best to smooth over the sand using whatever you have in your own bag.

Ball Cleaners are not in use.

Drinking fountains and benches are not in use.

Putting Green and Practice Area Please ensure social distancing rules at all times and only use your own golf balls when practicing.

Retail The golf shop will remain closed, although some popular items will be available from reception e.g. gloves, balls, drinks, snacks. All payments are to be made using contactless cards.  No cash payments are permitted.

Competitions/score cards There will be no competitions initially.  This will be reviewed on a regular basis.  Under no circumstances should score cards be exchanged.

Payments All payments are to be made using contactless cards.  No cash payments are permitted.

Golf range Is open with socail distancing rules in place.

Please remember the following COVID-19 rules

  1. If you are not feeling well “stay at home”
  2. Make sure you wash your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds or, if this is not possible, use an effective sanitizer.
  3. Ensure you follow the social distancing 2 metre rule.
